Hello & Welcome

A long-time resident of Grand Rapids and alumni of Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS), Eleanor has firsthand experience on what it means to be a student in this school district. Those experiences drive Eleanor's values; led by building memorable connections.

Eleanor graduated from Creston High School (Go Polar Bears!), a building now occupied as one of the top-rated schools in our state. However, continued resources, support, and success are not consistently available across all our schools. Our students are so talented and deserve better. Our families want to access schools in their neighborhoods that have the adequate resources to thrive, succeed, and feel safe.

During the height of COVID-19, I dedicated significant time to engaging with youth and navigating partnerships with our schools. It was challenging to witness the difficulties faced by both our students and their families, as well as the staff, who continue to struggle due to teacher shortages and insufficient resources.

Our campaign is dedicated to enhancing educational excellence, empowering our students, and supporting our families.
